Roundcube are currently working on upgrading the backend as well as improving the frontend as well.
I found some screenshots of roundcube 0.8 here and I am glad to see a major improve in the GUI.

Round cube is my favorite webmail client for cPanel, and I love the new look even more!

The RC was only released a couple of months ago: http://trac.roundcube.net/milestone/0.8-rc
At the moment we don't have an ETA of when this will be on our servers.

Just to give everyone an update.
A feature requested has been submitted with cPanel and it looks like they plan to upgrade to the latest version. VERY SHORTLY!

cPanel has confirmed that roundcube 0.8 will be available in cPanel & WHM 11.32.5.
